I would be very interested to learn a little more about the gorgeous Bimini silver and gold figurine of Diana the Huntress.

I have a different version of the same subject .

My Diana, her bow and hound are in ivory coloured glass and the ball is red . It stands about 5 inches high.

Hi there ,
from reading your article I was deeply engrossed in the creation, development and evolution of the ‘bag’ .

I am currently a final year student studying the history of the bag and the personal relationship we have with the object , however I cannot seem to find any links or relevant documents to support my findings.

Iwas wondering if you would possibily aid me in any way of the discovery of why the bag was first used and hence developed to become such a valued object witin our lifes, as i wish to explore this further.

Any help or advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

I own a very rare 1887 footed, reticulated flower-encrusted German Sitzendorf centerpiece that my mother purchased in Den Hague (Netherlands) in 1953.

I believe the mark is a Sitzendorf (looks like 3 crossed cotton-swabs or match sticks, with 1 more thinner one, (4 total) slanted behind) in blue, under glaze. My mother was told by Butterfield & Butterfield (San Francisco auction house) that it is very rare. It’s in mint condition, definitely Museum quality.

Hi there

I have a singer EE285298. It is pretty similiar to yours but I am guessing a later model.

I got this machine very many years ago and I am now trying to sew something but haven’t a clue of how to thread it. Would you possibly know how to do this?

Clearly I’m clueless but would like to start again.

I don’t rightly know, but seemingly careful historians of cannabis use I have read have claimed that nargileh actually appeared _after_ the smoking of tobacco was introduced to India and the Ottoman lands—until then, hashish and opium were eaten in food, and kif (ganja) was used in foods and lassi.

Just as the wheel never occurred to a lot of people in the New World, inhaling smoke directly from stuff you’ve set a-smoulder doesn’t seem to have occurred to people in the Old.

Further fun fact, more verifiable: the hose is replaced with a straight, rigid, piece in the Subcontinent (or, rather, as the nargile moved westward, the straight pipe was replaced with an hose.)

Sou brasileira e bisneta do maestro Gaetano Ferdinando Foschini ( 1836-Polesella/1908-Torino).
Consegui atraves de sites de musica Lirica algumas informações sobre meu bisavô.Gostaria de ter acesso a mais informações sobre ele,suas obras e sua vida na Italia.
O pai do Gaetano chamava-se Antonio Foschini tambem maestro. Dirigiu a Cologna Veneta( Verona).Quando morreu em 1850 o seu filho Gaetano ocupou seu lugar.
Poderia me ajudar a encontrar mais dados pois estou fazendo a genealogia da Familia Foschini.
